These vistas are gorgeous! Makes me want to paint some landscapes. I’m so glad you got to have this experience with your family, thanks so much for sharing it here!
Scotland is a go to place for gorgeous landscapes Jenn. Just being amongst it is so inspiring and the fresh air and open vistas offer a much needed physical and emotional boost, especially for us city dwellers! We can’t wait to get back there again. Wales is another amazing place to visit as well.
Absolutely gorgeous! That stone path! Those huge sunflowers 🌻 I am from England originally and have lived in America most of my life wishing to dive deep into my homeland and especially Scotland (maiden name is "Gunn"). Thank you for the inspiration ✨ (I found you when lovely Jenn shared this)
Oh and the sunflowers were just there when we hiked to the summit - no explanation or anything - just placed in a line. It was a beautiful contrast between them and the rollout landscape beyond.
Hi Deborah, thank you so very much for your lovely message! And so glad you found me through Jenn - she’s wonderful. If you’re inspired by my photos than I’m honoured given the wonderful photos you have on your website. Where from England did you grow up? I’m an Eastend guy who very much loves the wonderful blend of cultures that my area has to offer, but honestly I do love the stunning beauty of the Scottish Highlands! I’ll be sharing some more from our holiday in the coming weeks.
Ahhh thank you so much Dawud! One of my cousins has been a graphic designer in Eastend for years 😀 I love both the eclectic vibe of the city and the countryside anywhere I go. A bit of both in my personality! I'm
from Southend 😅 Born in Rochford, Essex and nope - not an Essex nor "Valley Girl" (grew up in the San Fernando Valley where we immigrated to in the 60's! Became a Valley Girl place in the late 80's - (I was long gone! ha ha!) My family is still in Essex and at the beginning of my Substack I wrote "The Wheat and the Bird" about the Gunns of Dunmow ☺️
I can't wait to see more of your holiday photos 🙌🏻✨ So glad you're here..
We loved our time in Scotland and plan to go again. I was feeling a little disappointed that I had not edited my photos from our holiday sooner, but to be honest, it’s been nice remembering the time we had throughout our holiday. A slow re-burn of the holiday is actually quite satisfying.
Yes, I absolutely agree about the benefits of visiting photograph a bit later. It also allows a clearer view of the memories these photographs hold. Thank you for sharing them.
Thank you for sharing the views from atop Conic Hill. They bring back memories of a fabulous hike I did years ago - the views are timeless really, just as I remember them.

I could feel the energy just looking at the photos; you’ve captured them beautifully.

Scotland is beautiful! Good to hear (and see) you had a great time. Being out in Nature is so gratifying.
